Independent Living
Assist Watch is a discrete all-in-one solution to support independent living, providing reassurance for relatives and friends.
Why is it important?
Most older people understandably wish to stay in their own homes as long as possible to preserve their independence and autonomy.
Helping older people to ‘age in place’ at home is also seen to benefit quality of life and provide a cost-effective solution.
Suitable home environments and mobile personal safety technology are needed to support a future of independent living.
Who is it for?
The safety of physical activity can be a cause for concern for relatives, friends, and carers of self-reliant elderly and disabled people.
The Assist Watch solution is well suited to self-reliant elderly and disabled people who prefer to maintain their independent living and healthy levels of physical mobility, whilst residing in:
- Their own home
- Independent Living Centres
- Retirement villages
- Retirement Communities
- Elder/Senior Co-housing
Information for independent seniors & disabled people
When living independently, it’s understandable that anxiety can occur for even the most self-reliant of us. Staying connected is vital for your safety if an accident occurs.
Wearing the discrete Assist Watch enables your family, friends, or carer to respond and assist you without delay.
You control your privacy, and can set tracking to occur only when an automatic or manual alert is sent from the wearable device.
Information for relatives, friends, & carers
Unlike other solutions, the non-stigmatising design of the Assist Watch is easily accepted by wearers.
Built in GPS means elderly and disabled people are easily located within 10 metres, and automatic alerts can be set for predefined distances from their residence.
The most profound effect of falling is the loss of functioning associated with independent living. The Assist Watch automatically detects heavy falls and warns relatives, friends, and carers directly.
One alert generates multiple requests for assistance
The alert service tries the most relevant responders in turn, and if a helper is not available, tries the next most relevant helper until someone accepts the task of organising the response.
Alerts can be configured to be sent by smartphone notification, text message, phone call, email, or integrated into other current systems using a webhook.
Highly reliable global connectivity
Assist Watch uses the Sigfox global IoT 0G network, designed specifically for wide area coverage both indoors and outdoors. Using very low power consumption, enabling small but critical messages to be transmitted with high reliability.
- Our high quality equipment is guaranteed for two years.
- Charging without plugging in takes only one hour.
- 1-2 months battery life or 4-7 days with GPS position tracking activated.
Simple setup & management
Manage your alert recipients list, and configure your privacy and alerts using the easy-to-use mobile app.
The app is available on iOS and Android.
